Hydrophobically Modified Polypeptoids and Uses Thereof
Background
Tulane University is actively seeking commercial entities to further develop and commercialize a formulation of hydrophobically modified polypeptoids for applications including drug delivery and antimicrobics.
Applications
These modifications can be useful for delivering hydrophobic drugs via lipid raft, as well as disrupting bacterial membranes for antibacterial applications.
Current Work
This polypeptoids as drug carriers have been tested in vitro and a model drug was tested in a cytotoxicity assay.
