Myriam Huet
Assistant Vice President for Research for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
Biography
In her role as Assistant Vice President for Research for Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion (EDI), Myriam Huet (she/her) develops, implements, and assesses targeted, multi-tiered initiatives designed to promote EDI within the Office of Research and the broader Tulane research community and its constituents. She develops targeted programming and supports mechanisms to promote EDI-focused research, advance EDI and ethical community engagement in research, and enhance research environments more broadly. She also promotes equity in all processes across the Office of Research.
Dr. Huet holds a doctorate degree in Anthropology from Tulane University and has taught courses in Anthropology and Gender & Sexuality Studies. She leads a community-engaged study-abroad program in St. Martin, Lesser Antilles, every summer in close partnership with a local nonprofit organization and local institutions.
