Biography

In her role as Assistant Vice President for Research Excellence and Opportunity, Myriam Huet develops, implements, and assesses multi-tiered initiatives designed to promote research teams that drive academic excellence, cultivate research environments where all can succeed, and support research that addresses a broad range of topics with high impact locally, regionally, and globally. She also works with Office of Research units to ensure that processes and services are accessible to all constituents.
 
Dr. Huet holds a doctorate degree in Anthropology from Tulane University and has taught courses in Anthropology and Gender & Sexuality Studies. She leads a community-engaged study-abroad program in St. Martin, Lesser Antilles, every summer in close partnership with a local nonprofit organization and local institutions.
