The university-wide Tulane Research, Innovation, and Creativity Summit (TRICS) will be held April 24-25 on Tulane's uptown campus. Tulane Shuttles..........

This two-day event will showcase the diversity of research, innovation, scholarship, creativity, and achievement at Tulane and will feature presentations by students, trainees, faculty, and staff university-wide, along with a number of affiliated lectures and workshops. Some schools will have their own display areas within the large hall, allowing for cross-disciplinary learning and discussion. TRICS will replace SSE Research Days and Health Sciences Research Days.

Poster presentations will be displayed in a series of sessions each day from 9am–4pm. You will receive instructions and scheduling details specific to your poster shortly after the abstract deadline.

Abstracts are due Thursday, April 11, 2024.

How will you display/share your work? (e.g., poster, audio visual display, interactive - be specific as possible)

Abstract Guidelines and Format:

By submitting an abstract, you agree to attend your designated poster session and to have your abstract published on the TRICS website. If you have intellectual property concerns or other questions, please let us know at kjack@tulane.edu.

  • Fill out the Submission Form and upload a Word file of your abstract below. Include the first author’s last name in the file name.
  • Use Arial 11pt and limit to 500 words with no figures.
  • Include the title in BOLD UPPERCASE.
  • List all authors using the format Smith JQ, Jones AB, etc. and include all affiliations.
  • The first author’s institution must be Tulane.
  • The body of your abstract should contain:
    • Statement of the purpose/importance of the research/description of the topic explored
    • Theoretical, historical, or methodological framework (2-4 sentences)
    • Outline of the main arguments/findings/results (2-4 sentences)
    • Conclusion/implications (1-2 sentences)
    • Funding acknowledgments (e.g., NIH-AI-1302; NEH#453, etc) 

Click the SUBMIT button. You will be taken to a page confirming your submission. Further details will be provided by email as the event approaches.
